The Eyes of Source
The Atmosphere
While the eye is first drawn to a radiant tropical sunset, the calligraphy and symbolic details gradually reveal a deeper narrative, evoking the spirit of ancient voyages and inner transformation. Bathed in warm lantern light and opening onto a lush horizon, it transforms the surrounding room into a haven of wonder, spaciousness, and storybook charm.
The Scene
The composition unfolds like an illuminated page from a timeless manuscript. Weathered parchment margins gently frame the scene, inviting the viewer to look through a majestic stone archway toward a coastal sanctuary bathed in golden sunset light. Calm waters softly mirror the sky while distant mountains and graceful palms outline the tranquil horizon.
On the quiet shore rests an open treasure chest. Yet inside, there is no gold—only sand and a solitary weed. The wealth one expected to find has quietly shifted: it now shines within the illuminated initial of the affirmation, where delicate botanical accents embrace shimmering 23-carat gold leaf.
Suspended beneath the arch, the dip pen calligraphy flows in classic Uncial script:
“Through the Eyes of Source I can see my life as the most beautiful story ever told.”
This gilded initial is echoed by the artist's monogram, delicately inscribed upon an antique flask resting at the foot of the archway, completing a subtle visual dialogue between the beginning and end of the composition.
The Story
This affirmarelle grew from Francesco’s desire to return to a perspective larger than his own—especially in moments when life appears fragmented by uncertainty or unmet expectations. Stepping back to view his journey through the eyes of the Divine, what human perception judges as a mistake or detour reveals itself as a necessary chapter adding beauty and depth to the narrative.
The choice to place the gold within the illuminated initial of the affirmation, rather than inside the abandoned treasure chest, is therefore a celebration of freedom. Lasting richness is not waiting in external outcomes; it begins the very moment we consciously choose the eyes through which we view our lives.
Through the Eyes of Source, nothing is wasted. Every joy, sorrow, and unexpected turn deepens the story, revealing life itself as a sacred masterpiece, lovingly written long before we learned how to read it.
